| The Chinese were a force to be reckon with at the Beijing Olympics,
weren't they? They managed to top the world in winning the most gold
medals. Between faking age documents and pushing their athletes to
train until injury, China made sure their people did everything to win
the events. They were especially fierce in the gymnastics arena. If
they felt things were falling short, they made sure to use good old
intimidation tactics to shake up their competitor's confidence.
In one incident, a member of the Chinese female gymnastics team
(apparently high on ginseng overdose) was about to lay an uppercut to the
American's face. Upon seeing a camera flash, she immediately realized
she was being watched and quickly changed the fist to a handshake.
Needless to say, she succeeded in getting her message across.

| ...on DVD, and I'll be making a trip to Blockbuster. I already saw it
in the theaters. It was alright as a film and the action was enjoyable.
The stop and go fight scenes were nice. What I liked most was all the
Spartan patriotism. Yep, nothing like King Leonidas screaming at people
to remind them where they are and then kicking them down a big ol'
well.

| In this day in age, there is an ever-increasing
desire to share ideas between nations and cultures. It pays to be able to speak
several languages especially for people in business and politics since it
allows greater flexibility and leverage in one's ability to bargain and develop
relations. I think all world leaders should be able to speak at least 2
languages. It seems like almost every other national leader can speak
English on top of their own language. Yet we live in a country whose
leader can't even speak one right! | | |
| I really sweat a lot when doing physical activities, especially with dancing. I could be doing warmup drills for only 15 minutes, and I would already have a head full of sweat dripping down on the floor. Watch out, don't slip now! After an hour into it, the sweating isn't as bad, but I guess it's cuz I've dehydrated myself. I don't think I'm out of shape, I've always been a sweat machine. I definitely generate a lot of body heat, probably more than normal...someone I know can attest to that. Either my metabolism is abnormally high, or I just exert more energy than necessary. I should learn to breathe better, I tend to subconsciously hold my breath when doing things, probably a habit carried over from my swim team days in high school. Aside from cooling me down and making my clothes moist and sticky, sweating does offer added benefits. Apparently for women, there's nothing like the smell of a man's sweat. | | |
